Akari-NEP: V. Buat, D. Burgarella. Collaboration to obtain mid-IR deep observations of the North Ecliptic Pole with the IRC camera on Akari to detect galaxies up to redshift 2.
AAomega Survey ARGOS: L. Athanassoula. Spectroscopic survey of Galactic bulge stars.
CFIS/UNION: E. Jullo. Wide field imaging survey with CFHT (271 nuits)
COSMOS (Cosmological Evolution Survey): O. Ilbert, O. Le Fèvre. Survey designed to probe the formation and evolution of galaxies as a function of both cosmic time (redshift) and the local galaxy environment, with over 2 million detected galaxies, spanning 75% of the age of the Universe.
DAFT/FADA: C. Adami, E. Jullo, M. Limousin - The DAFT/FADAS survey encompasses ~90 high-redshift (0.4 ≤ z ≤ 0.9) massive (M ≥ 2 × 1014M⊙) clusters of galaxies with Hubble Space Telescope (HST) imaging available, and multi-band optical and near infrared ground based imaging, using 4 m class telescopes, which is now complete.
DESI: J-G. Cuby, E. Jullo, C. Peroux, M. Pieri – Dark Energy program that will start observing in 2020. Spectroscopic survey of galaxies and quasars over 14000 deg2.
eBOSS: S. de la Torre, E. Jullo, M. Pieri – SDSS-IV/eBOSS is a 6 years program started in 2014 observing galaxies and quasars in spectroscopy over 7500 deg2 in order to measure the BAO signal and constrain the cosmological model in the redshift range 0.6 < z < 2.2 (Dawson et al. 2015).
GUViCS (Galex Ultraviolet Virgo Cluster Survey): S. Boissier, A. Boselli (PI) - Open time and archival GALEX project providing UV observations of the full area of the Virgo Cluster with GALEX
HerMES (Herschel Multi-tiered Extragalactic Survey): A. Boselli, V. Buat, D. Burgarella, G. Lagache - Herschel legacy program covering 380 deg2.
HST Frontier Fields: E. Jullo, M. Limousin - The Hubble Frontier Field (HFF) initiative constitutes the largest commitment of Hubble Space Telescope time ever made to the exploration of the high redshift Universe via gravitational lensing by massive galaxy clusters.
NGVS (Next Generation Virgo Survey): S. Boissier, A. Boselli, O. Ilbert - CFHT large program to observe the full area of the Virgo Cluster with Megacam.
MASSIV: B. Epinat, O. Le Fèvre - Kinematic data of a sample of ~80 galaxies at redshift z~1.5.
S4G (Spitzer Survey of Stellar Structure in Galaxies): E. Athanassoula, A. Bosma, volume-, magnitude-, and size-limited survey of over 2300 nearby galaxies at 3.6 and 4.5 microns.
SL2S (Strong Lensing Legacy Surveys): E. Jullo, J-P. Kneib, M. Limousin - The SL2S-ARCS sample contains 126 groups and is based on the Strong Lensing Legacy Survey (SL2S), a systematic search of strong-lensing systems in the CFHTLS. E. Jullo and M. Limousin are involved in the follow-up and analysis of these groups in spectroscopy, imaging and X-ray.
VIPERS (VIMOS Public Extragalactic Redshift Survey): S. de la Torre, E. Jullo, V. Le Brun, O. Le Fèvre, C. Schimd – VIPERS galaxy spectroscopic survey is today’s largest redshift surveys at 0.5<z<1.2. It is an ESO large program that covers 24 deg2 on the sky and that assembled a catalogue of 90000 galaxies with redshifts.
VUDS (VIMOS Ultra Deep Survey): S. de la Torre, O. Ilbert, V. Le Brun, O. Le Fèvre (PI), L. Tasca, L. Tresse. Spectroscopic redshift survey of ~10.000 very faint galaxies to study the major phase of galaxy assembly 2 < z ≲ 6.
XMM-LSS and XXL (3): C. Adami, C. Schimd – XMM-LSS and XXL surveys are the largest XMM programs to date involving an international consortium of roughly 100 members. The XXL Survey covers two extragalactic areas of 25 deg2 each and its main goals are to provide constraints on the dark energy equation of state, to serve as a pathfinder for future cluster, AGN evolution, and large-scale structure studies. C. Adami is in the core team of the XMM-LSS and XXL X-ray surveys.
